The services that we offer have been substantially expanded in recent years. Our traditional speciality has always been the realisation of intranet portals and e-commerce sites. However, we began expanding our range of specialities a long time ago, and as a result. This makes us a one-stop shop, offering its clients a single point of reference for all of the specialised expertise that they could possibly require.

 

Ever since the Internet was born (1994), we have based our entire operation around Microsoft technology and excelled in providing high-quality solutions to a group of satisfied, regular customers.     To clarify our extensive range of services, our expertise is condensed into Solution Centres. The principle behind the Solution Centres is that every type of solution has its own optimal approach regarding expertise, sales, organisation, processes and people. For example, a software maintenance service differs from a Business Intelligence project with regard to all of these aspects. The clearer focus of Solution Centres enables precisely oriented exchanges of information, and the Knowledge Development department supports the exchange of information between the Solution Centres. This optimal information exchange automatically leads to quicker development of knowledge and enhances the company’s ability to standardise its development paths, enabling greater flexibility, quality and decisiveness.

 

To continually maintain Macaw’s position as leader in the field of Microsoft technology, our Knowledge Development department closely follows the newest Microsoft developments and adopts them as soon as possible. This task is fulfilled by participating in all kinds of programmes that Microsoft offers in this area, as well as working with multitudes of Beta products, both internally and externally.

 

Approach
We are a project organisation. That means that for each assignment, we compile a team that contains the range of expertise required to carry out the most important technical tasks and development. This approach includes a variety of important stages in the development of a portal: analysis, design, development, roll-out, documentation, education/training, promotion, aftercare and management. The approach concentrates as much as possible on the phases and deliverables that are most concrete and useful to both the project and the various stakeholders.

 

We operates using the Rational Unified Process (RUP) method as a basis for all of its projects. This method is specifically suited to software development. We have adopted this method and added a number of disciplines, such as design, in order to enable complex web and portal development.

 

Furthermore, all solutions are constructed using the Macaw Solutions Factory. Employees of all disciplines are equipped with the necessary expertise and have years of project experience in conjunction with the other disciplines.
